In keeping with his commitment in the August 15th Follow-up to the Pentecost Pastoral Letter, Archbishop Mancini has begun to visit parishes throughout the Archdiocese. In December he visited St. Rose of Lima in Fall River and St. Joseph's in Bridgewater, and in January he visited Sacré Coeur in Saulnierville and St. Peter's in Dartmouth. The Archbishop expresses the purpose of his visits this way: "I want to be with the people on an ordinary Sunday with no other agenda than to celebrate Eucharist and visit with them."

World Day of Peace The First Day of the Year
Dear young people,
you are a precious gift for society.
Do not yield
to discouragement in the face of difficulties and
do not abandon yourselves
to false solutions which often seem
the easiest way to overcome problems.
Do not be afraid
to make a commitment,
to face hard work and sacrifice,
to choose the paths that demand
fidelity and constancy, humility and dedication.
Be confident
in your youth and
its profound desires for
happiness, truth, beauty and genuine love!

" We will all be changed by the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ. " 1 Cor. 15:51-58
Praying each day for Christian Unity, focusing on the transformative power of faith in Christ.
Changed by the Servant Christ Mk: 10:45 We are called to be a serving community, making visible our unity in Christ as we use our diverse gifts in common service to humanity.
Changed in patient waiting for the Lord: Mt 3:15 Prayer to God for any kind of transformation is an act of faith and trust in his promises. Patient waiting for the Lord is essential for all who pray for the visible unity of the church.
Dear Friends,
We always open the new church year on the First Sunday of Advent, and this year we also open our renewed Roman Missal. Today as we celebrate the Mass together, we experience the differences in the words we say, the music we sing, and the postures and gestures we use. We are the Church and we pray as the Church prays.
