The 8th Day

The eighth day. But for us a new day has dawned: the day of Christ's Resurrection. the seventh day completes the first creation. The eighth day begins the new creation. Thus, the work of creation culminates in the greater work of redemption. the first creation finds its meaning and its summit in the new creation in Christ, the splendour of which surpasses that of the first creation. Amazing Friends

Every year we gather together 600 to 800 Catholic teens from across Atlantic Canada (and even a few from Ontario!) .  One thing they always say is how great it was to see that they are not alone as a Catholic teen in their school and work.  So yes, we got great music, yes we have dynamic speakers, but we also have you and new friends you haven't met yet.

Exclusive Concert with Matt Maher!

matt Don't miss our exclusive concert on Saturday afternoon with internationally acclaimed Catholic musician Matt Maher. Originally from Newfoundland Matt has recently made the transition from full-time ministry at his home church in Mesa, Arizona, to life as a respected worship leader with an international platform. He's also developed a reputation as a versatile songwriter—always eager to build bridges between communities and inspire others to creative excellence—all for the glory of God. In 2009, he released his second Essential Records album, Alive Again. Like all artists, Matt's life experiences have shaped his music. "It has given me a heart for two things: One is to interact with culture more and another is to be a vehicle for unity.... My mandate as a Christian is not to retreat, but to be a light. In a post-Christian society, everybody is called to be a missionary wherever we are.". Only this summer, and only at Steubenville Atlantic.  Register now.

Listen to some of Matt's music on his website.

Ben Walther, Worship Leader

Ben Walther began writing songs that expressed the communal faith of himself and his friends while serving as a worship leader in college. The release of his first album, Where I Want to Be, launched a season of traveling, giving Ben and the band a chance to share their story of hope in God's abundant blessings (see John 10:10). For the past few years, Ben has enjoyed a fruitful ministry in Houston, Texas, and beyond, and in June 2008, he released a six-song EP in a collaborative effort by Robbie Seay of Sparrow Records and Matt Maher. The most profound blessings in Ben's life, however, are his lovely wife, Maria, and their five daughters.

This year will be Ben's fifth time leading us in praise at Steubenville Atlantic. Check out his rendition of "God Bless Canada" on our YouTube channel.

Ben Walther at Your Parish

benandson
Hello friends, and warm greetings from Texas! My name is Ben Walther, and it has been my honor to serve the regional youth of Southeastern Canada as worship leader for the Steubenville Atlantic summer conference over the past several years. This year is especially exciting for me, since I am the newest member of the Spirit and Song artist lineup! I have been working with Spirit and Song on a new EP which will be released later this year. This project will feature new songs of praise and worship which we will be singing together this summer at the conference. This year has also been awesome because after being the proud father of four beautiful girls, my first son was born this year!
